When a new build moves from seller to buyer, our new home warranty straight to the new owner – giving them peace of mind their new home is protected in the event of any structural issues or latent defects for the first 10 years from completion.

Without a structural warranty in place, a new build home is only guaranteed for around 1-2 years, during which time the builder is obligated to repair any defects that arise. A 10-year new build warranty offers homeowners and builders alike peace of mind that the structure is protected for 10 years.

The policy will be passed on to any new owners of the home in that 10-year period, although it will protect only the original structures that were in place at the time the policy was taken out. This means that any loft conversions, extensions or other additional structures will not be covered under the new build warranty.
