If you are interested in commissioning a self-build at Graven Hill, here’s a complete guide from BuildIt Magazine, on everything from plot passports, Graven Hill’s site plan and prices, and the routes available to designing your dream home.

Back in February we blogged about BuildIt Magazine opting to build their own education self-build house. This is a first for any magazine in the self-build homes sector, and the plan is, once it’s finished, you will be able to visit to experience the products and materials they’ve used first-hand.

Self-Build Zone have partnered up with them and will be providing the site insurance and structural warranty for the house.

Over the course of 10 years, the Graven Hill self and custom build development will create up to 1,900 bespoke new homes on 188 hectares of brownfield land in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

The first 10 self build plots, from phase 0, were made available to self builders documenting their journey for the TV show Grand Designs. Graven Hill has subsequently released more plots across different areas of the site, which are now being built on

Here at Build It we have put together this complete guide to explain everything you need to know about the Graven Hill site plan, plot passports and planning permission, prices,  and the building routes  available.
